2020 is off to an eventful start, to say the least. Between the retirement of Jushin ‘Thunder’ Liger, the settling-in of the winter season, our own personal lives still being rather hectic and the rest of the world totally NOT igniting in calamitous flames, we’re going to be in for a lot of work throughout the year. But in the meantime, this show is here to serve as a glance into the wacky and weird world of the anime industry. And for our first show of the new year, we have the continuation of Poll-a-Mania, along with a few glances at upcoming shows to come, the incredible tire fire that is Gainax and Hideaki Anno’s choice words about them, and a look at the dub cast for Weathering With You, one that is sure to persuade the Academy Awards into tossing a nomination its way.
We’ll know on Monday, at least. And stay tuned for our next episode, talking all about Weathering With You and the ever-so-polarizing entity that is the Crunchyroll Anime Awards, where we’ll have some choice words of our own on that.
