This is a weirder show than most, on account of the vast mood shifts with all of the topic at hand here. There’s a not-so-good amount of bad news to dive into, be it from the unfortunate winner of the WBD bidding war and… ALL of the horribleness from Shogakukan’s editorial department that will definitely be upsetting to a lot of people for a lot of reasons. But we’ve got some good movies in the HYPNOSISMIC interactive concert event, the Umamusume sequel movie, and Cosmic Princess Kaguya on Netflix… and then there’s Scarlet. Poor, poor Scarlet. It never stood a chance. And then there’s more Evangelion on the horizon because of course there is, some plans for a Samurai Champloo live action project, Netflix doing not-terrible things for ONCE, and some future plans from Discotek and AnimEigo… for better AND for worse.
