We’re all mad at Sony for ALL of the reasons right now. But we’re not mad at Discotek since they and AnimEigo alike offer everyone really cool things and actually treat their customers like people, unlike Sony who treats people with contempt and locks their store behind a paid Crunchyroll subscription. We’re also not mad at Anime Limited for getting Banana Fish and committing to put it on a disc sometime soon, unlike Sony who would rather get rid of discs the for the glory and benefit of their spreadsheet-loving C-suite. And we’re also not mad at the Criterion Channel service for getting Neon Genesis Evangelion on their platform next month (ADV dub included, per reports) since they know people like old things, unlike Sony who will gladly let old things lapse so people can’t get them anymore.
The point is, we’re mad at Sony. But we’re not mad at other folks and other companies. Enjoy our show where we offer both the yin and yang of this mess of an industry. And say hi to Sketch on this show on your way in.
